Manchester City fans have a new cause for concern about tournament prospects this season – one of the attacking leaders, Antoine Semenyo, will not help the team for the next couple of months due to injury.

Manchester City winger Antoine Semenyo will be unable to help the team for about eight weeks due to a knee injury. The club's head coach Enzo Maresca announced the expected recovery time for the player.

Semenyo sustained the injury on October 17 in the closing stages of the 7th round English Premier League match against Ipswich, in which Manchester City secured a 3-2 victory. According to Maresca, the initial concerns about the severity of the injury were much greater. However, the results of the medical examination carried out the day before turned out to be more encouraging.

Despite this, the player faces a lengthy recovery period. The coach noted that the other players feel relatively fine, whereas Semenyo remains the only player who is out for an extended period. The main task for the winger now is to undergo the necessary rehabilitation course and recover from the injury.

This season, Semenyo has played 10 matches for the club across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

In Fantasy Premier League, Semenyo has already earned 37 points for his owners at a price of £8.3 million.
