Today the next – already the 7th round of the English Premier League season 2026/27 – kicks off. Ahead of the deadline in Fantasy EPL for the 7th round we traditionally try to help answer the question – which players are best to pick for your squad?

We present our own ranking of 5 footballers to watch when selecting a squad for Fantasy EPL in the 7th round.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

Price: 15.6 million

Why you should pick: The Norwegian, who has already scored 45 points in Fantasy EPL this season, needs no further introduction. But right before this round, it’s a top reason to bring Haaland into your squad, because the Norwegian is definitely, like his entire team, wildly angry at life and himself after the crushing defeat to PSG in the Champions League midweek. And that means that Manchester City and its top scorer will unleash their anger on the next opponent.

And since the opponent will be the modest Ipswich, who have conceded 8 goals away in the league over 3 matches, it’s easy to guess that Man City can score many goals in the new round. There’s a suspicion that now is the best moment in the first half of the season to make Haaland a triple captain. But that’s up to you. It’s just a suggestion.

Antoine Semenyo (Manchester City)

Price: 8.3 million

Why you should pick: Overall – for the same reasons as Haaland. The Cityzens will probably score many goals against Ipswich, and Semenyo is exactly the one who is involved in most of Manchester City's goals. He already has 2 goals and 3 goal assists in the 2026/27 season.

Josko Guardiol (Manchester City)

Price: 5.8 million

Why you should pick: If you still haven’t added Guardiola to your Fantasy EPL squad, the 7th round is the perfect time. Not only does the Croatian earn points thanks to the “dry” matches of his team, of which Manchester City has plenty at the start of the season, but Josko also actively participates in City’s attacks. Guardiol has 1 goal and already a full 4 assists! Remember, he’s a defender. A very strong start to the season from Josko!

Nicolas Jackson (Aston Villa)

Price: 6.6 million

Why you should pick: The Senegalese striker is on fire right now! Jackson has scored in two consecutive EPL rounds, and across all competitions Nicolas has netted 4 goals and made one assist in the last 3 matches.

Aston Villa’s opponent in the upcoming round is Newcastle. They seem a strong opponent, but look at how many goals Newcastle concedes in this league. Already 13 goals have gone into Newcastle’s net over 6 rounds. This is the worst figure, tied with two other teams this season – Chelsea and Bournemouth.

Maxim De Cuyper (Brighton)

Price: 4.8 million

Why it’s worth picking: For a laughable price by Fantasy EPL standards, you’ll get a player with a stat line of “4 goals + 3 goal assists” this season, and “2+2” of those Maxim De Cuyper has recorded in the Premier League. Brighton’s opponent is the modest Crystal Palace, and the Seagulls will be playing at home, so you can expect the Belgian full‑back, with a strong attacking focus, to deliver more useful – and above all – decisive actions.

And who are you planning to pick for your Fantasy EPL squad for the 7th round?

Reminder: the deadline for selecting players and making changes in your Fantasy EPL squad for round #7 will be on Saturday, October 17, 1.5 hours before the first match of the round, Everton – Chelsea.
